Bill Frothinger
Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Frothinger began his business career in real estate after graduating from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor’s degree in Geography in 1993. He soon made a successful business in the real estate industry and eventually was co-partner of a real estate brokerage firm of 80+ agents and staff.

Today he owns and operates a real estate portfolio of commercial and apartment buildings. He also has funded start-up companies and businesses since 2005.

Mr. Frothinger has experience in finance, management, brokerage, project management, and marketing.

Nate Holmberg

Mr. Holmberg graduated from St. John’s University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management in 2002. Soon after he started a career at UBS Financial Services.

Mr. Holmberg began in the Energy Industry with Calgary based Gibson Energy in 2007 as a trader and marketer of Natural Gas Liquids. Mr. Holmberg oversaw the purchasing, hedging and sales of 250 plus railcars per month of Butane and Natural Gasoline.

In November 2009, Mr. Holmberg left Gibson Energy and joined E-T Global Energy as their VP of International NGL / Crude Oil Marketing and Trading. In July 2010, Mr. Holmberg took over as President of E-T Global’s subsidiary company Propane Direct. The company was sold in November 2010.

Mark D. Bauerly

Mr. Mark D. Bauerly, St. Cloud, MN, has over 35 years experience in the heavy Construction industry with direct experience in building interstate highways, airports, along with other state, county and private paving and concrete projects. Together with his five brothers, their company Bauerly Brother’s Inc., experienced vast growth to over 800 employees while effectively managing in excess of $200,000,000 in revenue. While at Bauerly Brother’s Inc., Mark served on the Minnesota Asphalt Board of Directors. As such, he held the office of Secretary, dedication to the joint environmental committee with MPCA, and proved to be instrumental in rewriting several permits and their impact to the Asphalt industry.

In 2001, Mark and his brothers sold their company to Knife River, a division of Montana-Dakota Utilities Resources, Inc. While employed at Bauerly Brother’s Inc., and continuing with Knife River, Mark was responsible for successful operations throughout Central MN for the aggregate, asphalt, concrete and central services divisions. As President of the central services division, Mark oversaw the Human Resources, Safety, Finance, Contractual and Office Operations in Central Minnesota for both Bauerly Brother’s Inc., and Knife River operations. He also served on MDUR’s Strategic Planning Board, and completed due diligence on several construction companies in MN and Midwest states for the successful purchase of seven of these companies. Mark provided consultation services for various construction companies striving to evolve their aggregate and mining operations throughout the Western United States and Texas.

Mr. Bauerly’s other entrepreneurial industries include serving as President of Bauerly Dynamics Incorporated, a land & condo development company and gas station/convenience store operation; Board of Director for Palmer Paving Company, a Massachusetts construction company with assets over $90,000,000; Founder and CEO of Bauerly International Ventures which is involved in the successful establishment of more than 10 individual companies which concentrate on mining, infrastructure and renewable energy in Minnesota, New England states, as well as the countries of Brazil and China. Mark also provides consulting services to Cold Spring Granite for their various mining operations.

A graduate of the Harvard Business School (3 year) Owner/President Management Program; Steven Covey 7 Habits Leadership and Project Management courses; Continuing Education Credits from various association accredited programs; St. John’s Preparatory School and Apollo High School Teacher and Head Wrestling Coach; St. Cloud State University graduate earning All American wrestling honors.

Tom E. Burling

Mr. Tom E. Burling is a 30 year veteran of the Energy Industry. Throughout his career Tom has held Senior Positions with Independent, National, and International Energy Companies with primary responsibilities in the areas of Supply, Distribution, and Marketing of Natural Gas Liquids, Products, and related Services.

Currently, Tom serves as President of NorEn, Inc., an Organization providing Contracted Natural Gas Liquids Marketing Services for a Canadian producer of NGL’s throughout the United States.

James F. Shunk

Mr. James F. Shunk of Long Lake, MN, is a retired Colonel of the United States Air Force. Mr. Shunk has years of management experience ranging from major government agency to small manufacturing companies. He has a solid track record of performance and successful strategic and tactical programs.

Mr. Shunk was a General Manager at Jet Edge, where he managed a 52 person team that manufactured high-pressure waterjet pumps, waterjet cutting, coating and removal systems.

Mr. Shunk has his M.B.A. from Auburn University, a PhD in Atmospheric Physics from Texas A&M, a M.S. in Physics from Texas A&M and a B.S. in Engineering Physics from the University of Illinois.
